Dear Families,

We had a great time at our pancake breakfast this morning!  Thanks to the Sooke Lions for putting this delicious breakfast together for us. Thank you to our school community (and the main organizer 😉) for planning a caring thank you to our staff everyday this week!

It has been wonderful seeing so many students travelling to school in fun, active ways!  We’ve seen an increase in bike, skateboard and scooter riders as the weather has warmed up. Please remind your River Runner to wear a helmet, and to walk their bike/skateboard/scooter while on school property.  We can help find a spot to keep them safely stored during the school day as our playground is too busy during recess and before and after school times to be riding!

  • Don’t forget there is a Professional Development Day on Monday so no school for students.
  • The Harmony Project will be sharing information about their Drumline for Grade 5s and the Strings program for Grades 2 and 3 next week. If this is something you would like for your child, please watch for the information coming home.

Please see the attached summer camps held at EMCS.
